[19-05-2025 10.45] PPM 1: OPD now:

An amazing tryst with Indian indigenous systems of bone setting still surviving in remote villages inspite of the dominance of Western Medicine!

32F presented to our OPD just now as she had a history of gestational diabetes and hypothyroidism 3 years back. However our attention was caught by her left leg fracture for which they didn't approach Western Medicine help but relied on a bone setter in their village https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chandur,_Telangana practicing since 35 years and who confidently treated it with leaves and sticks for splintage! They didn't even think of approaching our Orthopedics department here and just came to medicine for investigations for her gestational diabetes and hypothyroidism!

[20-04-2025 11:16] PA: Seeking advice on behalf of the child patient. Her parents want to know the next course of treatment here. Is it advisable if they stop the medication now as they are unsure of the same and let them know how to stop. Is it like not taking dose from a certain days? And what precautions can be taken in case of further epilepsy occurences.

The treating doctor had advised to keep medistat nasal spray 5mg/ml (3 puff in both nose ) for any SOS/emergency. Will this be same now as well.
